Highlights

  • Diablo 3 Season 29 introduces a Solo Self Found mode, adding more limitations to hardcore gameplay and increasing the possibility of death.
  • The new season, Visions of Enmity, brings pocket dimensions that can be explored at level one, as well as changes to Paragon Points and new rewards.
  • Based on fan feedback, Activision Blizzard has made adjustments to Diablo 3 classes, with the Monk and Necromancer receiving more attention.

The plans for Season 29 of Diablo 3 have been revealed, including the addition of a Solo Self Found mode. Despite the fact that Diablo 3 has been out for over a decade, Activision Blizzard still updates it with fixes and content that may draw lapsed players back to the game.

Despite the fact that Diablo 4 was released earlier this year, Diablo 3 continues to get seasonal updates. Diablo 3 has evolved from a problematic launch to an impressive ARPG. Diablo 3 Season 28 was themed around Rites of Sanctuary, and the season before it featured Angelic Crucibles that could infuse Legendary items with power. With Diablo 3 Season 28 set to conclude on September 10, players have been anticipating information about what comes next. Just days away from its launch, Activision Blizzard has released details about Diablo 3 Season 29.

Diablo 3 Season 29: Visions of Enmity releases on September 15 at 5:00 P.M. Pacific time. Season 29 sees pocket dimensions opening in Diabolical Fissures which can be explored as low as level one. Any of the classes can now be chosen for Solo Self Found, adding even more limitations to hardcore that increase the possibility of death. Due to the addition of Solo Self Found, Paragon Points have also changed and players now have access to a total of 800 for characters made in the new Diablo 3 game mode. New rewards including the Mad King’s Favor portrait and Quoth pet will drop with the Season 29 update.

Haedrig’s Gifts are a big part of Diablo 3 Season 29 once players complete Chapter 4 of the Season Journey. The Barbarian set is Might of the Earth, Crusader is Thorns of the Invoker, Demon Hunter is The Shadow’s Mantle, Monk is Monkey King’s Garb, Necromancer is Grace of Inarius, Witch Doctor is Raiment of the Jade Harvester, and Wizard is Firebird’s Finery. Continuing to work with the Diablo 3 community, Activision Blizzard has made some changes based on fan feedback. Hellions, Vile Swarms, and Savage Beasts will replace Dark Berserkers and Toxic Lurkers. Several Diablo 3 classes get adjusted with Season 29, but the Monk and Necromancer are getting more attention based on community response.

Though Diablo 3 Season 28 is set to end on September 10, players will be waiting a few days for the next big content patch. Given that some aspects of the update like Solo Self Found were tested on the Diablo 3 PTR, there may be fewer problems with Season 29 than with earlier seasons.

Diablo 3 is available now for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, and some legacy consoles.
