Red Dead Redemption 2 Player Recreates Peaky Blinders Intro In-Game

As Peaky Blinders begins its final season, a Red Dead Redemption 2 fan shows what a crossover between the popular show and game could look like.

The BBC’s popular historical drama Peaky Blinders has had both the first and second episodes of its final season air on TV. As the end of the fifth season brought about quite the cliffhanger, many were wondering where season six would take the story of Tommy Shelby and his criminal empire. With many beloved characters in Peaky Blinders, there are plenty of fans holding their breath to see how Peaky Blinders will end.

With such a popular series though, there have been plenty of chances for fans to make fanart and tributes. One talented Red Dead Redemption 2 fan managed to create the Peaky Blinders intro sequence in the game. While Peaky Blinders and Red Dead Redemption 2 differ greatly in terms of their settings, there are some similarities to be found within the game and TV show. Both focus heavily on the story of one character attempting to find redemption, and both include a tight-knit gang that acts more as a family unit.

GAMERANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

Posting the short video to Reddit, user Devilbringer07 clearly paid great attention to the title sequence of Peaky Blinders, as there are multiple nods to the series, including custom titles of the characters in Red Dead Redemption 2. The player even customized their version of Arthur Morgan to better fit the Peaky Blinders style, giving him a formal suit with the flat cap that a member of the Shelby family is rarely seen without.

Red Dead Redemption 2 fans were quick to praise the post and u/Devilbringer07 for their creation. Some considered the potential of a Red Dead Redemption and Peaky Blinders crossover, with one fan stating that “the industrial parts of Saint Denis sure gives Peaky Blinders vibes.” Other players included the fact that they too had Peaky Blinders outfits for their Red Dead Online or Red Dead Redemption 2 character. Peaky Blinders is not the only time Red Dead Redemption 2 fans have found a potential crossover though, with one player’s bug turned the game into an Attack on Titan crossover.

While it is unlikely that Peaky Blinders will be making its way into videogames through a Red Dead Redemption 2 crossover, Peaky Blinders does have its own VR title called Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom, which will see Cillian Murphy reprise his role as Tommy Shelby alongside some other cast members. The game is set to launch some time in 2022, though no official release date has been given yet.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
